Hello, new here.
I recently caught a queen argentine ant, and was wondering, will she lay eggs?
here is some pics:
just email subbing.
She has shed her wings, so yes, she should lay eggs. Try to keep her undisturbed with lots of water.

K, thanks so much! when should I expect to see eggs?
(so excited!)
When they are settled :)
My L. Niger queens were left in the dark in their tubes for one - two days, and when I checked on them they had 10+ eggs!
All I can say is be patient, try not to disturb her, and keep her in the dark ( they like the dark, but looking at them on the light will not harm them in. Anyway, so your fine to do that too )

Forgot to mention that there is no way to tell for sure if the queen in fertile without dissecting her. However that being said, queens that have no-wings should be fertile, so the only way to tell is wait unilateral she lays eggs :) Good luck with her, keep us updated! :D
