wont need a big set up as in not a big tank needed or not lots and lots of small tanks
wont need heat in uk weather
has at least,diff sized /grades /minor and major workers
ideally has soldiers too
isnt the black niger species
ideally has a non humid requirement? / doesnt make a smelly /mouldy home ?

Small set up, easy specie, polymorphic, what about Pheidole pallidula ? Is quick to grow and don't need heating, however they like warm places.
Camponotus sp. provides most of those points...
