From Oktober to March on a place with 5°. You can put them in basement.

Thanks for your answer but i dont have a basment. Can i use a shed with no heating or is it to cold for them.
Can i use vaselin and how often shall i renew it?

Ameisenfreund: Re: Lasius flavus (8. Jun 2013 13:21)

I think you can use the shed, Lasius are very resistant. For what would you use the Vaselin?

Formica fusca: Re: Lasius flavus (8. Jun 2013 20:18)

I would use the vaseline to stop Them crawling up the sides and stop them getting out and the shed gets as cold as the temperatur out side that is why i ask if they could be keept out side in the shed, because i dont wan't to kill them.

Ps in denmark it gets a bet cold and i mean very cold out side some times.

I think, you have to use something like PFTE, not vaseline.

You need a place where the temperature is 5°, the shed is too cold, i think.
