Hi there,

I'm thinking about starting a farm (not sure yet). But I need advice, mostly on the type of ants.

Here we go:
1. I need ants that do not hybernate. My fridge isn large enough to store them in
2. I need ants that dont grow into a huge colony. I don have the space to keep thousands of ants and I dont want to kill them or get rid of them.
3. If you can give me a breed, I need to know what they need in terms of food, soil, housing etc.

Hi
Their are Lepisiota bipartita from south europe and they are not to expensiv. Dont know of it's ok for you hope it is :D :D they eat honey water and insects and they need sand loam. Need a farm or a basin in XS to S.

And these do not hibernate and don't become a huge colony?

edit: I'm also thinking about using a labyrinth setup. Is this possible for these ants?

Thet are from isreal so they dont need to hibernate and if they have dont need it so cold about 12-14 degreese. dont know the size but XS-S says to me is not to big a colony and the labyrinth setup i dont no if it will do. Try to ask someone ho no's what the nest have to be. I am new to the ant keping and dont now alot but enow to maby keep ants :D
