Hey guys In this thread I hope to properly explain how I keep my queens.

First I got:
Medium box
Small box
Heat mat
habi-stat
digital thermometer
and ant queen/s

exo terra heat mat: £20.00 for a pet store. To be honest you can get these allot cheaper.

Last of all the 2 boxes.

First of I had to fit all my wires and stuff and packed it into the box.

Now I placed the smaller box on top of the heat mat and taped the probe from the habistat to were my ants will be staying.

Now I have put the ants into the smaller box and attached my thermostat right next to the probe for best results.

Now the lid is on I have wrote the date I will be looking at them next.

Now everything is hooked up and working. I have put polystyrene balls for more warmth.

To finish with I have tapped the thermometer to the window in the garage so I can check the temp without disturbing.

Interesting... few questions.. What ants are these for? Are they just queens or colonies?
