bryguy97: Can insects regenerate body parts? (3. Mai 2010 13:25)

Hi.

I have a pair of termite dealates (new kings and queens) and the king has part of his leg broken off. Can insects grow parts of their body back? I hope they can, because my new king has kind of a hard time moving around. Thanks for any help!

No, he can't because he does not anymore molting.
Sorry.
Best Regards Tim

Well, I guess I'll just get her a new king. I know that there will be more flights soon.

Green Iguana is right

As far as i know the king of termites doesn't molt anymore. Some insects are able to regain their legs etc. through molting.

The king can if he is small.
