hi there!
my name is olly i am about to start up a colonie of Myrmica rubra
i have a large aquarium for this witch i will modefy and i will also buy a starter kit from the antstore as an back up colonie
yesterday i saw a intressting u tube video (searching for ant movies) about an insect called an ANT-LION:

so my questions are

A: could i keep an ant lion in the basin without it really harming the colonie, like a natural balance?

B: i live in Belgium so would it be possible to buy one somewhere? and get it here

i like the idea of keeping a growing colonie on a balance with one of those they look awsome :lol:
anyone got any info?

I don't think you will be able to buy an antlion.

Even if you did, the question of whether it would keep numbers stable would depend on the size of the colony. Big colonies produce more new ants than small colonies.
