I have just received my new setup from ant store, i have the slim and farm and basin?

Once I have setup as per instructions with sand/loam etc.
Where do i put the ants (lasius niger), first.

in the Farm or the basin?

basin, keep em in the tube and add some alu-foil around the tube.

Its best to put the tube in the basin so they can move themselves to the new farm. Don't forget most ants are in hibernation now so they will not move now. Good luck.

Most convenient would be to see if the tube is ok (it's not dry, or doesn't have mold) and just put it in your fridge.
