UneXisted: PTFE on plastic materials (22. Dez 2009 14:32)

Ive bought PTFE. Ive tried to use it on a ferrero rocher box, but it doesnt work. Now i dont know if this is because of how i applied it or if it just doesnt work on plastic.

Has anyone tried PTFE on plastic materials, in particular Ferrero rocher boxes?

everybody on these forums seems to swear by PTFE but i found parafin oil worked better for me, but this was on glass not plastic,

i can't remember who it was but someone uses vaseline, that might be worth a try if your having problems.

Yes, but ive bought this PTFE particular for my Pheidole pallidula. But i cant use it now, because im not using a basin made of glass. Though, im not sure if it does work on plastic, thats why i opened this thread. ^^

you dont have to abrade it , cause if you do the underground will improve for the ants to come out . so clean the box , take 50% ptfe 50% water together and take the result on the ferero box , dont use anything to take it on , let it flow around the cover . then it has to dry and it wont look that nice but it works , believe me i took the ptfe on my fererro box , yesterday ;) . good luck ! ;)
