hello poeple i new to keeping ants and i dont no what would be the best setup for Messor barbarus. could any one give me some starter sets and what size of beton nest would be good or would i have to make one.?

I'm not so fund of Beton nests but you can use them if you like. I use a ytong nest for them but you need to put something around the ytong because they can dig through it. Are you can use a sand nest. Take a look around at the forum, plenty of people keep them so. :)

got mine from antstore it took her no time to pop out workers, i have 4 now 3 dolls, lava and eggs, so i have just connected a small foraging area onto test tube, not that they are eating anything =(

I will probably move her into either plaster or breeze block, which is basically the same as ytong.
