Magicalsushi: Where to buy red filters? (27. Jun 2009 18:17)

Much as the title says, really - I gather covering the side of a formicarium with red plastic light filter sheets will prevent light from upsetting the ants, while still leaving them somewhat visible to observers. I can't find any at Antsore (which section should I be looking in?), and in any case I'd prefer not to order something so small online unless I'm buying other stuff at the same time. Can anyone suggest what kinds of shop I might find it in? Photographic suppliers would probably be a good bet, but I can't think of any in my area.

For the record, I tried to photographic shops and they didn't have any, but then I found some in an art supply shop. Also, the word I should probably have used earlier was "acetate". :)

You won't find them in the normal, high street, photography shops. You need to find a shop that sells and hires professionally photography equipment. Lighting, that kind of thing.
