The ants are able to climb in the glass? I tried in the acrylicum and they can do it in there

Yes, almost all ants can walk on vertical glass, or even upside down, without problem. To prevent escape, glass must be covered by some slippery grease. Teflon (PTFE) works very well.

It is because some people take pictures from there formicariums with out the cover

And made me think the ants couldnt climb in the glass

There are some species of ants that can't. But it's generally more safer to assume your ant does. ;)

Yes, most species do climb glass. The pictures you see are probably farms with a lid and the lid is taken off to take the pictures. ;)

Or with a teflon grease I told about. I can keep my formicariums always open thanks to it, this way I have no problems with ventilation and so no mold or ugly smells.
