hullgeorge: should i have done this? (22. Feb 2009 20:23)

well i put my ants in hibernation as soon as i got em 1st jan and just took em out of hibernation to fine that there awake?? and the eggs have become larve (is that the last stage till hatch?) should i have taken them out jimmy told me that i should take them out intill the tempriture goes up outside and up has gone up quite a lot since the snow and rain in england :mrgreen: my head aches because i think i have done the wrong thing could you guys answer quick i really want to know if i should put them back in hibernation (they seem to be ok quite active) and also is it normal for the queen to be walking up and down the test tube or is she caring for my brood #-o please answer quick also if i need to put them bk in hibernation i will but is it to late?

well id leave them out now.. perhaps they was in a good hibernation before you had them. All mine are out now and dong well. But i did put them in at the end of October.. Just make sure they get a good hibernation next year :)

Yes. And like Steve said, you better keep them out now. No Larvae is not the final stage, you also have cocoons. :)
