i have ordered my Lasius niger coleny from edu-sci (sorry antstore) and i was woudering when they get here (Uk hull) would i have to hibernate them plus my friend would like to know do u need to hibernate them at all please i need some answers

you really should of done some research before buying. as these are very basic keeping skills

and the answer is yes they are in hibernation now and when you get them you need to keep them around 5c to 8c


although i keep mine outside and usually at 0c or 1c

Like jartok said. This is a question that is answered more than 100 times here i think. If you only did the effort to read a bit... there is a perfect search engine here at the site. These are basic skills for every keeper.

so when i get them keep them at 5-8 degrees?

Yes, until the temperature outside is going back up.
