Hello fellow antkepers! :D Now i have a idea after seeing creatures inspiring thread about his messor nylanderi (wrong spelled) i want to get an easy and cool harvester ant next year! looking for an harvester ant that is easy too keep and pretty colorful not long hibernation or no at all recomend any good specie! :)
Please aware im a pretty big noob but bin on this forum quite a time as guest and i had to whine at my mother for almost a year before she was convinced that they wasent dangerous at all :wink:

You can start with either Messor barbarus if you like big majors or Messor structor if you like colonies with multiple queens, it's up to you ;)
okay i was just thinking its not going to be M.Barbarus :P any other otherwise i take MB :)
If you can your hands on an American Pogonomyrmex colony, they are perfect too, but they are very hard to get.
