also out of curiosity

whats difference between Myrmica ruginodis and myrmica rubra i cant see any physcial differences and they have same things as far as i see

Could be the wood is to wet and if it can not dry it starts to go bad. Maybe it is best to remove it from the farm.

There is not much difference between the two species. Just a few small things. ;)

Ok i removed it and put it in the bin .

its the small differences im curios about i might keep them aswell im not sure yet i was thinking bout some flavus but they dont seem to come out much from what i gather

Lasius flavus don't come out of the ground very much and there easily frightened and run start back to the nest Lasius niger would be a better ant to get

I keep both ruginodis and rubra... i would say the main differnce would be the rubra are far more aggressive.. they enjoy hunting and killing their prey.. where was the rugs prefer to have it killed for them...
