i got some small black crickets in tub roughly 200 in there or so i know i cant use them all before i put ants into hibernation end october but ill let them free . but
there is this worm like creature with legs in tub a few of them what are these should i remove them ? kinda flat body
ive had one of them with my crickets and my mealworms its best to get rid of it.
also don't release your crickets into the wild
yer, a black sort of caterpillar looking thing, doesn't seem to do much but u always get one in a box of crickets, just did some research and it might be a species of Dermestid beetle larvae
You could put your crickets in the freezer until spring. Defrost them and give them to your ants. That way you could still use them.
yer those worm things are Dermestid beetle larvea, and aparently they kill crickets, so take them out asap.
