i got some small black crickets in tub roughly 200 in there or so i know i cant use them all before i put ants into hibernation end october but ill let them free . but

there is this worm like creature with legs in tub a few of them what are these should i remove them ? kinda flat body

ive had one of them with my crickets and my mealworms its best to get rid of it.

also don't release your crickets into the wild

yer, a black sort of caterpillar looking thing, doesn't seem to do much but u always get one in a box of crickets, just did some research and it might be a species of Dermestid beetle larvae

You could put your crickets in the freezer until spring. Defrost them and give them to your ants. That way you could still use them.

yer those worm things are Dermestid beetle larvea, and aparently they kill crickets, so take them out asap.

ah i dropped the crickets and they all got loose in my room i picked them all up and left 7 in cage and then froze the rest till hibernation ends the worm things that where in there have done one thoe . hopefully will just die
