Hi Deadmeat! Temnothorax nylanderi is small, red ant. I have some experience with this ants... I have young colony from queen, at the moment. These ants are usually living in shells of valley nuts or in old sprigs. I´m ususally founding them in sprigs of valley nut tree. I´m keeping them in my own set- up for Temnothorax species, or for young colonies. I keeped my first colony on iland, but they was swiming a lot...:-D
Sorry to bring up the tube issue again sithmaster676, but couldn't you cut the centre portion of the green tube out (still leaving 2 short lengths glued in place) and connect a clear tube using smaller diameter tube? Please ignore this suggestion if already thought of. :)
This is very small red ant with small black doing at his back. I have some experience with this ants... These ants are inhabitting the old shells from valley nuts or old sprigs. I´m founding colonies of these ants usually at the old spring of valley nut tree...
