i have a small garden where i live and the ants seem to be constantly "walking" across the same stretch of ground
I decided to move alarge bin from a particular area and found worms centipedes louses and ants all crawling around...
allmost like they were sharing the same damp stretch of ground
Centipedes is armored, and in more, have repellent fluid as formic acid, that do stay away the ants.

So you can feed them ham, dead insects (after putting them in boiling water for 1 or 2 seconds), live insects (from nature - not a shop, because of risk of illness) and Honey water?
The honey water can go in the feeding disk but without the sponge? So every few days do you put the honey water in the dish without the sponge during the day, then take the dish out and clean it in the evening and then put the sponge and fresh water back in?
Actually, I have discovered, probably isnt a great discovery for many esperts, but my lasius very like a dying fresh small insect las a mosquitos and very little drosophile, they kill and finish'em and carried on in the nest. Dead and cut insect are not appreciated, instead very like honey-water mix.
Actually I not use the dish, but small container as pills give it honey-water but not directly mixed with soil. They grub it in a micro-hole.
I use this scheme:
|--soil--|
|honey|-->container
|cotton|
|_____|
My ants are a sterter lasius niger colony, and actually they dont like any dish or any artifice because bit diffident.
