Oh, but I have a lamp there light on them, so they will not freez. (:
- But can I set the temperatur over 30 C? :D

gabranth: (29. Jun 2008 12:29)

not recommended as lasius niger ain't mediterranean ants and they could end up dyeing

KiamCameron: (29. Jun 2008 12:51)

no do not put it over 30C I dont think you should put it on at 28-30C anyways at summer time 20-25C is perfect..

ratgreen: (29. Jun 2008 13:10)

yer 28 is a bit hot, best bet is to keep them at 20-26'C i think.

ashhad1: (29. Jun 2008 14:17)

hehe it does feel cold but not as cold as a fridge as i have a radiator underneath my window so the lowest temp my ants get is 18C and only that in winter

gabranth: (29. Jun 2008 14:25)

this was in spring is wales and it was so cold the glass even had condensation on it

ashhad1: (29. Jun 2008 14:34)

There you can find how long it takes for Lasius niger to hatch from egg to worker.

There is good information at the site here, also a very nice search engine. Don't be afraid to use it. ;)
