yeah it depends on the wall that the have in there nest if they have no sand say in the test tube they will use it as a means of blocking the nest entrance
Sithmaster676
but why block ? :D so it will be good to give em sand?
2days no activity seen.i think they do all the jobs at night.
i checked the test tube and they are alive.there are a fly with one wing,no legs and body is much smaller.i red what tail says:
If they can pull an insect into the nest, they also will be able to get rid of it.
so i dont need worrie about ?
NEWS : i found a very dried and not alive dragonfly.do they will eat it?and it is a good idea?
They block the entrance to feel save.
You can feed them lot of things, some they will accept other not, try it out and you will see. ;)
ok i will try to give them dragonfly .
edit :
i decided to dont give them that.
maybe a dragon fly is a bit to big for a colony of this size things like spiders may be a better option
Sithmaster676
ok but all insects are sleeping thats the problem.
i have an idea.maybe i place the test tube in the farm so they will settle in and will go to the arena.or they dont do that?
If they think it better inside the farm they will move, but that could take a while. It not a bad idea. If you can not catch insects outside you can always buy them at a local pet shop of fishing shop.
now they are eating fly.some days ago i saw some egs(5 or 4).later i saw only one but now theres no eggs :( i think they eated it.and a question.they will go to arena to get some food ar starve at the farm?
If i have a small colony i give them the food as near to there home (farm, tube) as possible without stressing them. So do not put it in the tube but at the entrance.
