At a dutch forum there is a guy with a Atta colony, he has much experience and almost a perfect setup for them. (i think :) )
The setup also can be used for Acromyrmex spicies.
Check out those pictures (i know you dont understand it but you can translate allot using a translation page)

Hi again, did you mean any "Acromyrmex spieces"? seen there's a whole lot of different subspieces, and differnt localitys?!
oh one more...I read the german Atta site, you mentioned Jimmy, and it was a learning lesson. but my translation program didn't quite translate enough. I didn't understood how "he" transported the fungus as it growed bigger to a bigger cub??? Or if the Ants them self, did it? :(
Sounds like he did it by hand, as he describes how the fungus feels and then says the ants seem surprised about suddenly being in another container.
Personally I would let them move them selves as it was not far and the queen could have been damaged in the move. Although the workers would have difficulty safely moving such a large queen.
Thanks Phasmid.. I have 175 L tank for my soon arrival Acromyrmex, and purhapse it's wiser to but them in a minor set up at first. To see how they develope? but at the same time it feels kind of stupid to move/ risky, if things goes well in this minor set up..hm.
In my holding tank (175L) I will prepare the optimal climate, Hygro/ temp, floor substrat, light. what are your suggestions  Hakan in Swe
ok... I go with Phasmids... "you could put lots of soil in to allow the ants to dig a chamber or build round the fungus. This way they can regulate air flow better to suit the fungus’ needs, and you don’t need to worry about putting a second, smaller, container in the fungus tank".
1 more... Do I pick the "alonging" fungus by hands, and put it right on the soil in my holding tank then?
(sorry about all the questions...

damondeionno! the link doesn't work???
Thanks damondeinno for link tip!!! I have one more question: I have arrange, kind of walkways for my soon arriving ants. because the coloni is not that big, and my -allready- prepered leafstation, is about 8 full meters away from my nestbox, is this wise, the right way??? purhapse better for the coloni to grow strong first...??? or will they fix the "long walkway" in the beggining/ when arriving? should I feed them in the nestbox? someone please... :?
