I moved the colony into the kitchen just to be safe. So far they still seem to be thriving, no dead ants.
I've noticed today though in the main chamber they've dug some slightly larger workers, paler with bigger stretched abdomens next to the queen. What are they? newly hatched workers?

Yeah the pale ones are newly hatched workers its normal there bigger as the generations are going on so the workers will start getting bigger ;)

The paler workers will color nicely after a few days. :)

Yeah, the later generation workers should be bigger due to the fact that they are receiving alot more food than the first generation. i have noticed this with my workers to.
