I can't see if it's larva or eggs, but I think it's both. But I have one cocoon(:

gabranth: (4. Aug 2008 15:56)

what do you mean by brood larva and egg's or workers?

FredeP: (4. Aug 2008 15:59)

I mean, that my larva and eggs are yellow/light orange, and I don't mean it should be that colour? And do u know why it's that?d:

gabranth: (4. Aug 2008 16:04)

FredeP: (4. Aug 2008 16:10)

And it can't be because it's to hot, for the other queen have white brood?
Hope someone can help!(:

Some colonies and queens have yellow/light orange eggs and white one i have 3 cataglyphis queens and 1 lays white eggs and the other 2 lay yellowy eggs :)

FredeP: (4. Aug 2008 19:25)

But why do they that, will they alway lay yellow eggs? And are the ants there come out of that brood, will they be differant?d:

JimmyVe: (5. Aug 2008 18:57)

I can not tell you why some have white eggs and some yellow, maybe it is just the food they are having. As long as they are okay i don't see any problem with the eggs being not white.

For the record, some species have even black eggs. ( Ectatomma ruidum )

Okay, I give her honey? so when I stop with that, they will be white again? or will they always be yellow/orange?d:
