I have just been on this web sit and found the my queen she is the Camponotus spec. (casp0007) if you look at her on the below page she is the 1st ant the red and black on this the queen i now have 3 queen with eggs refered to in my other post Hoooraaayyyy
she a real bute i am also glad to see that they rate her as an easy species to look after
Its a shame i cant send them over seas at 119 euros an ant
we just had a large fight in the last week new queens releast every day i recon i could have captured 1000 or more queen of 5 of the different Camponotus on that page and have been made alot of money
but this would have been very bad for the eco system and not right
Well ford how do you think places like Antstore and a other offerer get their ants??
I know for a fact that the other offerer is away right now collection queens.
about 2 weeks ago he just arrived from the first collection trip, now again.
@ford-ute: nice, i hope at least one would start of with a nice colony for you. Yes you could make lots of money but like you said it is not right to do so. It still are animals and not money makers ! (btw: try not to post to much messages, you can put all in one, thanks)
sorry jimmy it was just i had already posted the first them i thought of some more but i will try ti put it all in one
No big deal Ford-ute. Just try to do it in the future. ;) Thanks.
my caccoons are taking forever to hatch. I've got 5 in my ligniperda tube 3 have a black dot at one end and one has turn brown also. The workers seem to be utterly devoted to them at the moment and arent doing any scouting or foraging. i'm getting so impatient for them to hatch
Hi, its about Lasius niger but maybe would you be interested by this: Lasius niger temperature effect
Ligniperda hatched today. They're slightly paler and the mid section is white instead of red. 2nd gen worker same size as first gen though, I expected slightly larger. Still, my first new ant!
