Im new to keeping ants and i have l.niger colony about a month now i have 12 workers and about 15 eggs are they supposed to be out of hibernation by now there is very little movment :!:
ohh yes they should be by now darren, what kind of temp are you keeping them at? and have you been feeding them ? ohh and do they have a fresh supply of water?

You need to give us some more information (like Steve said). Are they still in a tube ore do you keep them in a farm. What do you feed them.... and stuff like that. That way we could help you much better.
I have them in a farm yes i feed them and they have fresh water they only seem to move to get food then they go back to the bottem of the tank and just stay there i have them at room temp
Seems to me they are doing fine. The colony is still small so they will be most of the time inside the nest. Look at the brood if that develops there is no problem to panic. ;)
