Be careful on what you use the exhaustor.
After using it on a Tapinoma sp. I had to sit down for some time because you suck in any acids and defensefluids the ants have and use.
Since Polyrhachis belong to the Formicinae they spray venom, try it in small steps.^^
After using one of these on Formica fusca I had a voice like Lemmy for a day or two.
For collecting big quantities of ants rather use a brush.

I'm really interested in this place in the Philippines you're talking about. Do you by any chance know the name or the adress? I go to the Philippines almost every year. Last year I spotted many colonies of weaver ants but never had the chance to see a mating flight...
