You can hope...but you can quiet be sure that they kill each other.
Not instand but - when the first workers are coming up - it will be critical.
It may will work but the chance is so small , i wont even try it.
But hey - there are wonders all around us .... i guess..
If you want a polygyn species, maybe try P heidole pallidula, My rmica rubra oder so...
There are a lot polygyn species species, that are not invasive and dangerous.
greetings
Allright thanks :D
But I've really like Leaf-Cutter ants, because I think they're great :p
One question, do you hae experience with exotic reptiles, ants, insects or something?
You ask for some Lasius information and for leavecutters ... so there are many many differents which needed to receive attemtion...
Do you ? ^^
No I have not, but I have to try, am I? :)
Yeah, but the most people start with an sort of ant that does not need such a bunch of points like humidity, temperature that must be controlled, or something that have to be correct.
Kind of "starting-ants" , for example Myrmica rubra, like Mr.Iglo said.
They are easier to keep, than leavecutters.
Apologize some mistakes and not die off them,as exotic's will.
In time and in money not so expansive as well.
You know, to getting into it.
Everything must be learned - also antkeeping :-)
Thanks :p
But I'll wait a year or to, before I try with any exotic ants - but I've started with Lasius n iger.
I have four queens or five? - can't remember, but they have all eggs, but soon they'll have larvas ;)
aaah ok - that was a good idea ;-)
In one of my tubes, there are two queens, but one of them will (as you say) die/kill of the other, when the workers come :)
