I have ligniperda.. and they are fairly easy to keep.. they prefer the ytong dry so no worries there.. and they are VERY slow to grow.. i started with just a queen and i think after 18months i now might have 20 workers.. they are not that active yet... but as they grow they will become more and more active.. but that is the same for almost all spec of ants.. some ants wont be seen active till they have 50+ ants..
