From Finland
About two weeks ago, I noticed formica rufa(?) carrying something interesting, and when I looked more carefully, I saw several ants carrying eggs, larva and other ants. I did not have camera that day, but I came back a day after and the looting was still going on. You can watch the rest of the pictures here, Ant War , but they are not that good.

Carrying wounded.
Mmh, i guess that's Formica sanguinea robbing and enslaving some Serviformica specie ...
Yep looks like they are robbing. ;)
Cool pictures. Really nice to watch that in nature. :)
Other Formica ants are also agressive and warlike, and they always take larvae and cocoons from defeated colony, but only as food.
Good pics, i witnessed this happening with Lasius niger and Lasius flavus, not as exciting :)
They really look like Formica rufa though: their heads are almost entirely black, Formica sanguinea (larger) workers have an almost entirely red head.
