Skippy: Polyergus rufescens (23. Jun 2008 21:06)

I have cought today 3 queens of Polyergus and also today made polygyn colony with borrowed formica young workers from another colony , with cocoons and some brood :shock: :grin:

I´ve never kept this specie , so I am interested what can I make from them ... because it is really agressive ant and now I am looking on domination rituals btw queens , very interesting. I saw first egg , so Polyergus war economy estamblished :D

Formica workers keeping them as their queens , feeding and cleaning them etc

as they hunting on other species and get brood of another colony to their colony , and killing all around like Ecyton in SA :D

some queens will be sell to companies which selling ants (100-150 queens) , some I´ll get as gift to friend and ant-keepers which starting with ants (or for 1 EUR)...

then , at September-October , I´ll show new type of formicarium which have not Antstore , Mrowkoyad or other shop , new generation ;) and there will be some choice to buy it with ants , one option is tetramorium...
