I was wondering, what do you do with your colony when the queens dies ?

me i normaly give the brood to any other nests that ive got even if it is a different speice. or try to get another queen to replace the dead one.

depends what killed them, if there are parasites, then I put the colony in the freezer and throw them in the bin, otherwise i'll feed them to my other colonies

I'm with John on this one.. i do feed them to my others.. mainly my rubra :evil:

I trying to get another queen and put her there (when is it some expensive rare specie) but when normally ... and if are they without some parasites or what , I put brood to another colony same genus , or use it as food for others ...
