Laisus niger are on their nupital flight today in the south of England quite early in the morning at about 9:30am. Some people said it wouldn't happen until about the end of August but I said end of July and have been proved right.

gabranth: (23. Jul 2008 10:03)

its mid july :P

There's stacks of them (I presume Lasius Niger) in the Ipswich area today - having to tread very carefully outside so as not to squish them.
