I found this recipe for ant jelly, I got it from this website:
http://www.antnest.co.uk

1 egg

A good sized dollop of honey (about 3 or 4 table-spoons worth)

1 mulit-vitamin capsule (preferably with minerals too)

1 sachet of gelling agent. (I use "Supercook's Gelatine - which you can get from most supermarkets)

300-500mls of cold water.

i think you can use fish flakes instead of pellets or they are the same?

Eggs are not bad, but keep an eye on them, they mold very quickly.

well what iw as plannin on doing was if its any good n my ants like it.. i was gonna freeze some in icecube trays.. and take it out when needed :)

That is not a bad idea, but like i said, if eggs are in the farm (to bee fed) they only stay good for about 2 days.

well not many kinds of food in the basin stay mold free for more then 2-3days in my opinion but does depend what kind of food

I tried making ant jelly once. The problem is you end up making like a pint of it and the ants turn their noses up. Then it goes off in about 3 days anyway, even in the fridge.

If I could get the recipe spot on maybe the ants would like it, otherwise its just a waste.
