hello there,
Compared to your species mine sound a bit boring.

I keep a colony of;
lasius niger
myrmica rubra
formica sanguinea
formica fusca

hoping this spring to start again with a colony of formica polyctena

Hi Gorilla

I'm looking to keep Atta sexdens (leaf- cutters from South America) what recommendations can you make ie: what tank and set- up do you find works best for you, what do I need to purchase etc. I'm completely new to this but extremely interested .

Im lookin my favorite : lasius niger, emarginatus and will hope soon to look pallidula... I prefer to see native ants. No exotic.

Pheidole pallidula

@gareth: if you are new to keeping ants you better start with an easyer species. like Lasius niger are something like that. Leaf-cutters are pretty difficult to keep.
