poyasweden: What kind of insect is that in my antfood(seeds)? (26. Feb 2015 05:50)

I have a small colony of about ten Messor cf. capitatus, I got them from Ant store last autumn.
They have recently woken up from hibernation and was I was about to give them seeds an hour ago. I took out the bag of seeds that I purchased from Ant store and
felt that the seeds are moving, I looked closer and saw very many insects of the same species, not ants...

I want help to know what kind of insect they are and how they may have gotten into the bag. I put up four images.
thanks in advance
Poya K

Hallo poyasweden,

I think the Ants will be happy about this nice snack. uch small insects cannot harm your ants so you can let the Bugs inside your colonie, if your colony is big enough.
