hi,Im a ant fan from China.I'm wondering why dont you guys keep honey pot ants as it is native in USA.And you guys have kept a lot of species why dont you keep that one?is it hard to pick up a new queen or something else.Thank you :D

This is mostly a German forum and the USA have strict rules about exporting ants and other insects. There have been some keepers in the past but none seem to be active in the forum anymore. I think you could find more threads about honeypots in forums from the USA. However even the European version of honey pot ant (Prenolepis nitens) isn't frequently kept in Europe for some reason (not very well known, not the easiest in founding a new colony).

I wanted some honey pot ant but I couldn't find anywhere that sells them in England.
