As every year for the past three years I have posted the exact day that our Lasius niger go on their nupital flights in the south eastish of England (near London). This year that is today people! I noticed one nest going at then end of yesterday and so of course all today there are lots of flying queens and males and the familar fertile wingless queen ants walking around.
Hey
Do you think it is the same in Denmark?
Its like 1 hour away from England.
I have seen better days thou I did notice some queens earlier. They have been flying for at least the past 2 weeks in the south east on/off.
Jeoff, really? In my area it is always one day of a mass of ants, and only the odd day when the odd other colony goes on their flight.
I caught two Lasius n iger queens this year in the south of England around 20/7 .
