badman: whats a good way to ventilate antfarms? (8. Jun 2009 03:46)

I need better ventilation in my antfarms, I tried using some of the air pumps on antstore, I like that you can connect them to tubes, this means you can split the airflow, and I used some thing fabric to block the ants and also they are low power, which saves electricity, but they vibrate, which is really noisy, and also the output is so low, you can barely feel any air moving. I need something more powerful, but I need to be able to connect it up in the same way as the anstore stuff.

The only fan i've ever used is from a pc the big ones used to cool down the power supply, connected to a 9v battery and a simple on/off switch.

how do you attatch that to an antfarm/basin, and how long does the battery last?

yeah I use antstore ant farms and basins, which only have 10mm or 27mm drillings, and I don't really want to go drilling more holes in them. I'm not sure how you drill into glass either.
