I plan on ordering 15 or so lasius niger ants. how can i go about feeding them or do i need to buy 15 or so boxes for each one i seen videos of people just got them all in test tubes stacked but i cant see how feeding would be obtained this way ?

Can you be more specific in your question? Do you want to buy a colony of 15 ants (14 workers+1 queen), or do you want to buy 15 colonies (and thus have 15 queens). If it is the first, you just need one box (I assume you mean the area where the ants forage with the word 'box'), if it is the latter, you need a seperate one for each colony. But why would you want 15 colonies of Lasius niger?
One thing is sure: if you have multiple colonies, you need to keep them separate, or they will fight till only one remains.

You just place them in a formicarium or something like a box made of glass. There you put the test tube in, with the ants in it. Just open it up and place the food next to the test tube so they can go out and eat someting whenever they like to.

as i thought i want 15 colonies i figured different boxes i was wondering why this person had all in tubes i couldnt make sense of feeding times . not problem can get plastic tubs for 80p in wilkos pleny space - i will not be keeping the colonies im just gonna get them till 20workers or so and give them out to children ( adult supervision ) in family
