definitly a major, head is to big to be a minor, all of those ants infact are to large to be first generation, unless antstore has some kind of special food to induce queens to lay normal eggs for first gen, I guess its possible, with the right level of protiens and other nutriants, I think other chemicals are involved aswell

In deed, looks like a major. This is strange, for such a young colony. Did you already contacted Antstore ? You could mail them and ask about it.

majors have same size heads of the queen, thats the big clue, or sometimes bigger !

Talking about majors from small colonies, my C.ligniperda colony, of seven workers, produced a male :shock: . I also got this from antstore.
