honeypot ants are cool ! :D other workers drink the honey from their mouth?its like a gas station

mimicus honey pot ant replites get to about the size of a garden pea, so about 6-8mm as was said before, Australian species (Melophorus & Campanotus spp) tend to be a bit bigger, about the size of a kidney bean, mayb a little smaller

depending on the species, they are edible to, if u feel the urge, they are a delicacy amongst the Native Americans and Australians, certainly something I intend to do when I get some Australian ones :) Not all are edible however, mimicus I believe are, but u should check for yourself first

As far as i know they are hard to get, Antstore has some in there list but not for sale at this moment.

They are in deed very nice ants, but i don't know someone who has experience with them. Are they hard to keep ?
