SteveUK28: Postage Costs (23. Mär 2008 14:30)

Why are the postage charges so high even if you buy something small??

I mean if you just need a bottle of honey and a feeding dish.. why the need to charge a minimum of 15 euros??

Wouldnt it make more sence to stick it in a jiffy bag and charge less. Surely you would make more buisness doing that...

I have spoken to them before about this and I got told its not them its the company that ships them out or something like that

SteveUK28: (23. Mär 2008 14:51)

fair enough for large things like tanks i can understand using someone else.. but for littler things they could easily get some jiffy bags in and send them themselves.. might be a little bit extra work but im sure they would get loads more business from it.

KiamCameron: (23. Mär 2008 14:54)

Oh and they can do that to but i think they said if they die there will be no refund but not 100% sure on that..

SteveUK28: (23. Mär 2008 14:57)

its not ants i want.. just things like dishes.. i can live with paying high postage for ants to have a guarnate but not dishes...

mzfckr: (23. Mär 2008 18:15)

for 10ml bottle of honey i need to pay 26euros :D

miszt: (23. Mär 2008 18:43)

yeah it is a bit silly!!

But why pay 26€ you can get a jar of Honey for 2€ from your local super market lol

mzfckr: (23. Mär 2008 19:59)

ok it is bit stupid of honey, but i cant get 20mm hose here so again - shipping price is big.

SteveUK28: (23. Mär 2008 20:52)

yes i can buy honey from the supermarket lol and i do.. But not the dishes or protein jelly... ive already looked and nowhere local to me sells it.

ducatiman: (23. Mär 2008 22:42)

try to buy in bulk, its more economical,to get a small amount of honey from antstore all the way to the UK is crazy, what i do is wait till there are a few items i want/need and buy them all at once that way post costs arnt as much cause there are more items, there are a few sites in the uk where you can get bits and bobs this also is cheaper ie cornish crispa, martin goss and edu-sci :D
