Peat, is the best thing for ants, theres lots of diffrent types, but it doesnt really matter which it is as long as it has nothing added to it

no worries i made sure that th soil was sterile before i get it and yes i may be going a bit to far for my experience but still i fill up for a challenge.
but you never know i might get lucky?

Which species did you kept before ? If this is the first colony you are going to keep, i'm sorry to say, you will fail ! If you have experience with European species, you probably fail to, if you have experience with exotic species you could get lucky...

trust me, and Jimmy, you will fail at it, then youl be Gutted.
these ants are Exotic, and are Highly Difficult to Keep. you need lots of Experience for These Ants.

Ant mad: (12. Feb 2008 17:19)

cool thanks for the advise i will take that into mind and the only ants i have keeped before have been euorpean ones, but i will still try with an easer exotic species.

Nice to hear that Ant mad. There are plenty of nice Exotic ants that are easier to keep. ( Camponotus substitutus for an example) Have a few of them and than you could try this species.

Hey guys,
I no longer have the pictures that I submitted for this thread. If anyone has them I would love to get them back up in the right context.
Pls post them or PM me if you do thanks
