When they bite do they use formic acid or a sting? Or just bite?

sting and bite i think.
you have to be careful sometimes the venom can put you in anaphylactic shock in allergic sting victims.

i dont know if this counts for Apicalas or just bulldog, and bullet ants

they have a sting, and its about 4mm long lol

And yes if you are allergic it will kill you very quickly

they mimic the sting action, they just bite. some insects mimic stinging insects to deter predators

Fasinating.
New question: Has anyone seen there ants bang there bodies against an object? This is very strange, i have seen my Campo Lig do this many times.

Camp lig, and many other Camponotus spec tap the ground/nest walls/whatever as a warning that there is an intruder or danger near by

This is espcially pronounced in species like Camp herc, where they turn tree stumps into honey comb structures, if you disturb a mature nest you can easily here the tapping...shortly before you get attacked

Most ants have either a Sting or a Poison gland, the 'stinging' action of ants without a sting is usually rubbing formic acid and a cocktail of other irratants and poisons into the wood that they create by biteing you....nice lol

Some dont bother with that at all, they just spray you with a face of formic acid

anyways, getting a bit off topic here! this is ment to be my P a diary :P
