I read that Diacamma ssp have gamergates.
AntStore sells only fertilized queens with workers so who is wrong here?
Can Diacamma have a queen or a gamergate?
If they have gamergate is it possible to have an endles colony that will never run out of a fertilized queen/gamergate?

Dear Hendrik,
we have edit for you now the text "one fertilized queen/gamergate with workers (see selection)"
But the selecton we can not edit, because it is only for the size of the colonie. and if we write only the size "4-10 worker" some other user will ask: "is no queen in the colonie?"
I hope it is OK for you.
regards
Hi again!
The most important here is if they could have gamergates ;)
So it's true that they can have gamergate too?

One other question about this species.
What is the best way to keep them so I can enjoy them best?
Is it like L. niger except the humidity and temp and should I have bigger antfarms etc?
The main goal here is to have the most visual enjoyment possible so I want to se the nest and also the foragin area.

Hello
I keep Diacamma species myself, I have them in the formicarium from dentist´s plaster..... These ants are nice big Ponerinae predators, l think they will accept you free formicarium from soil, or you can make them formicarium from ytong. Normal plaster is too faint for all species of ants......
I have one question to Antstore... I saw my Diacamma laying eggs few times, but it was just ,,workers" cause I didn´t saw any gaemae on their thorax.... I think that in this Diacamma´s are laying eggs all workers, if they have enough food, cause I didn´t saw any differences between laying and normal worker..... Antstore, do you have any pis of gaemae? I can´t find any pics on the internet.....

Nice to find someone who keeps them.
Can I keep them like L. niger except the temp and humidity?
One antfarm and one foragin/hunting area?
If so, what size of the farm and hunting area?
