ratgreen: Camponotus substitutus hibernation? (18. Apr 2008 16:36)

Do Camponotus substitutus need hibernation because on antstore's description its says they don't and many people on this forum say they dont, but i sent a message to someone who keeps them on youtube and he says that you do need to hibernate them. Is this true because i thought most exotic species don't need hibernation? click here to see his videos

also any useful info about Camponotus substitutus would be really helpful as there is not much info about them i can find.

what you trust more - antstore and forum or a youtube guy?

yer exactly ,but he does keep them himself so i was almost convinced. So no hibernation, I would prefer to see them active the whole year too, can't wait for them to arrive.

If he is telling they need hibernation he don't know anything of the ants he is keeping !
They don't hibernate (and i also keep them myself).
