Welcome to the photos / diary

of Camponotus sp. from Thiland ,what I received at 7. june 2007. This is colony ,what was moved from Thailand like young queen. My friend keep them small time and now is it colony about 1 queen and ca 150 workers. Nobody know ,what is this species ,so when you find on the web ,what is this Camponotus ,please write me. I have not my photos now ,maybe at the end of week. This is nice photo of my friend. You can see queen ,minor ,small major and major with red head. You also can see this ants on my new video.

Sizes of ants:

worker: 5-7mm
major: 8-11 mm
queen: 14-14,5 mm

They are very nice coloured.
It is all what I can wrote now ,they eatting honey water and insects like a lot of Camponotuses. I keep them in 25´C and a wet huminidy.

It is all on begin.

You must look on when is good light ,when is bad ,they look like normal ant without colours :( ,but very nice ant

Thanks Jimmy ,you can see ,they like to eatting like your Myrmica. I am happy when my ants are on maximum of feed like these. You can be sure ,they are not hungry :lol:
