New picks from the colony!!! The family is growing.
One question: Why sometimes the EDIT button disapears? Leaving no possibilities of edition of the messages?

see you next year ;)
edit: hey the edit button works :D
I'm pouring a little bit of vitamines in the food of my camponotus, that is simply very sweet juice of different fruits. They got full of the juice with the vitamines. Let's see the benefits of the vitamines in their diet, if it will afect the colony development. Check this pick where an worker is feeding another. Look the little abdomen full of juice in the pick.

nice all you have to do now is wait for a major to be born :)
I'm sorry to inform you that the species you have is not Camponotus castaneus.
I have two small colonies myself and the queen you have looks nothing like a castaneus queen.

Here are the profiles of the queen, male and workers.

You are correct about the size of the queen though, she is really huge.
