Nice Campo's you love your campo's dont you?
They're gorgeous. Nice pics skippy.
Very nice, but how hard are these ants to keep?
Omg very nice pics. Looks so exotic ;)
Thanks all
Yes I like all my ants ,but I will have not Camponotus nicobarensis since 23.07.07 ,so this is first and last photo :( ,but I have new yellow ant from south america :)
Camponotus sp. from Thailand is not hard to keep. When I receive the colony ,the size of colony was 1 queen and 150 workers . Size of colony now is 1+300 ,so colony growing very fast.
Camponotus nicobarensis is other category ,they are really hard to keep ,hard to feed ,hard to humidity and temperature ,really.
Thanks ,
Skippy
New photos
Yellow/orange queen from South America ,now with eggs.
As ashad said....do tell us......are they difficult to keep? DO they have any special requirements?
@Bob
All exotic ants are difficult to keep ,because they are different like Ants from EU/USA Climate. They dont need hibernation and sometimes they dont want eat :lol: ,or queens sometimes dont laying eggs :( .
That Camponotus from Thailand is not hard to keep ,It is like normal Camponotus from Europe nature ,but colony growing up faster :)
Camponotus sp. yellow ,I dont know ,It is more hard to keep ,because queen sometimes like to eat some her eggs (she is not hungry ;) )
Skippy
If you are unlucky all ants are difficult to keep. ;)
I think i said this before, but exotic ants are so difficult to keep because they need a perfect (most time higher) temperature and a good humidity.
